(NASHVILLE)–Ninth grade student at Sunbright High School, Nathan Layne Ward, served as a page in the Tennessee State Senate on Thursday, January 30th. Ward lives in Sunbright and was sponsored by State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston).

“Nathan is a freshman at Sunbright High School in Morgan County where he has made the varsity basketball team and is a first place 4-H speech contest winner,” said Sen. Ken Yager to his colleagues in the Senate. “He is a very active student there, so it’s not surprising that he has received numerous recognitions for his academic record and good character.”

Page duties consist of anything from making copies, running errands, to distributing legislative information to members of the General Assembly.  They report to the Chief Clerk of House and Senate.
