Statement from Senator Ken Yager and Representative Dennis Ferguson regarding Roane County Appraisal
June 9, 2010

(NASHVILLE, TN) – “We have received many expressions of concern and downright outrage regarding the recent state appraisals in Roane County.  Believing that many of these appraisals are out of line, Rep Dennis Ferguson and I met with the Comptroller of the Treasury Justin Wilson today to ask for a review of the Roane County Appraisal.” 

“Comptroller Wilson has agreed to send his deputies to meet with Roane County Mayor, Chairman of the Commission and Appraiser to discuss the appraisal and options for future action.  Rep Ferguson and I are hopeful that this meeting will result in relief to Roane County property owners.”
