NASHVILLE — State Senator Ken Yager, State Representative Dennis Powers, and Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck today announced an official ribbon cutting will be held on Monday, October 7, ceremonially opening Stinking Creek Road. ┬áThe event will take place at 11 a.m. at the Stanfield Church of God. ┬áThe church is located at 6373 Stinking Creek Road in Pioneer.

One of Stinking Creek’s own, Hack Ayers, will cut the ribbon.  A buffet lunch will follow immediately after the ribbon cutting at the church.  In addition to Yager, Powers, and Dilbreck, Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) officials will also be present at the ribbon cutting.

“This project has been a long time in coming,” Yager and Dilbreck said.  “We hope many local residents will join us and be a part of the celebration.”

The resurfacing project is a $1.9 million road project.
